Re: The AC10 Gas Thread
If you just want the AC15 normal channel and don't use a lot of reverb, the AC10 is very good value for money and the specially designed 10" speaker sounds pretty good.

Re: The AC10 Gas Thread
It's also a nice light weight for carrying around compared to a 15.
Just looked at the Vox website - 12kg vs. 22kg - quite some difference!

Re: The AC10 Gas Thread
Mmmm my 15 was a bit unwieldy and a tad heavy for lugging up stairs, made worse after I switched the speaker out! This is quite appealing!

If you like the tone, go for it. Second hand and you can't lose if you have second thoughts. They will start appearing on TM soon enough once a few people who bought one realise it will not make them sound like Brian May.

Re: The AC10 Gas Thread
I've heard one in action and it sounded bloody good.
Would totally go there myself if I weren't so gleefully entrenched in Fender land now

For sure, but I just want a small bedroom amp for fun times, don't need to fire up an 800W amp and the HD for basic practice...jimi wrote:Thought you could get that sound from the HD500x?

Re: The AC10 Gas Thread
They're awesome little amps, oddly large sounding, despite the smaller enclosure. Certainly a Katana killer.

They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Lol. In a make it stop before I go on a rampage kinda way. It's so uninteresting and insipid.Delayman wrote:In a fan girl way, or a make it stop way?GrantB wrote:Gregs playing makes me want to scream...sorry JB
