Had one, lovely amp but too loud for me. Wish I invested in a power soak or some such. The reverb was incredibly subtle though. I really enjoyed that amp beyond 3 in volume but that's rattling stuff around the room. Some people said the drive is fizzy but I didn't find that, it's not great at low volumes though, not sure if that'll still be the case with attenuator.

If this demo is anything to go buy, it is a very sweet amp

I don't know what drivers that one will have. Mine had an HH one and it was just fine, sounded really nice recorded through an SM57. I wouldn't be rushing out to replace it.

shit , this is an old one so it'll be made in the uk. That is much preferable to a new (I think chinese?) one! need to figure out how to get soe money together
Also it has occurred to me that the 2x12 version would be ripe for a pair of blues
Forgot about that aspect (the manufacturing move to China). Yeah, I'd rather have a UK made one. Can't speak for that model but one of the guys on here was selling a recent one on here and commented that the reverb was now digital whereas the UK one was spring.

The one I had was made in China but had spring reverb. I have never heard of any VC30 that came with digital reverb... now I'm curious...

The Chinese one has a much better serial FX loop and is made just as well as the UK model. I have a 2x12 lionheart if your interested in their better amps.

The L20T-212 - a 20 watt Parallel, Single-Ended, Class 'A' tube combo loaded with Celestion G12H 70th Anniversary and Vintage 30 12" drivers.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

I have a made in China Laney and it is sweet. Built so well that noise levels are nearly zero even with gain cranked. Had two made in England Marshall valve amps that both blew up due to transformer issues that should not have made it past QA.
