Yeah both cab and built in speaker, no sure about reboot.Olderama wrote:Does it do it independently ie with the katana built in 5 inch speaker ?
If so I'd say it's the head aswell
Can it be rebooted?
Will test around the house when I get the time tomorrow before taking it back. Cable shouldnt be buzzing like that though.

You could try the factory reset just in case you have done some thing silly in the Tone Editor ?
I would also a try a different mains cable and a different room in the house.
If that doesn't help I would take it back.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Have you tried plugging in another amp, it gets really embarrassing when you think the amp has failed only to find it caused by a cheap consumable.

Never been connected to a pc yet. Was on the floor for a couple days then was on a cab. Have barely had a chance to use it as was wiring up a guitar and busy with work.sizzlingbadger wrote:You could try the factory reset just in case you have done some thing silly in the Tone Editor ? Haha not yet. But yeah, I'm reluctant to say its an issue with a brand new piece of gear. Will try a few more thingscalling card wrote:Have you tried plugging in another amp, it gets really embarrassing when you think the amp has failed only to find it caused by a cheap consumable.

So if there was nothing wrong with the Katana, what was the buzz?
