You're sure it wasn't like that when it was shipped? How was the packing job?

Re: Eye of Horus not so well :(
Man, i'd be livid. I've probably missed a few good deals on amps (notably a Marshall 6100 going for $750) over the years because they weren't local, or within a half-day round-trip drive after getting a broken Laney in the post years ago and the seller (anyone remember maken from trade me - used to buy-now on stuff but didn't have the money until he sold his own items) not being that helpful. Nothing more disappointing than opening up something new to find it bung.

Re: Eye of Horus not so well :(
ive had similar with guitars but not amps-usually theres some sort of"distress" to the outside of the packaging that gives it away....
that is truly ratshit though, hope you get it sorted man.

Bit worried about my L2T which I'm sending via mainfreight to dunners, packed pretty well, but there will be no insurance on it!

So long as the buyer understands that it's sent at their risk. I make a point of emphasising that but I also do a bloody good job of packing stuff.jeremyb wrote:Bit worried about my L2T which I'm sending via mainfreight to dunners, packed pretty well, but there will be no insurance on it!

Re: Eye of Horus not so well :(
Totally agree, but only the freight organiser (normally the seller) can instigate an insurance claim as they are deemed to be the freight companies customer. You can have that "right" assigned to the buyer (receiver) who is normally more motivated to chase any follow up.Molly wrote:So long as the buyer understands that it's sent at their risk. Re: Eye of Horus not so well :(
What kind of amp is it? Damage looks extensive. Downer. Hope it works out well for you.
Fragile stickers are no guarantee, but may help with all but the most negligent of package handlers.
This one looks like an accident rather than rough handling. Must have taken a tumble from top of a pallet or something. If not and some twat was being careless, maybe it landed on their big toe and that needs rebuilding too
p.s. always a good idea to remove valves when shipping.

Re: Eye of Horus not so well :(
It's my fault really, I read on their site that they have insurance available for 4% of nominated value, but it appears thats not available on the amp when I actually booked it My contents insurance will cover all but accidental damage, so thats not much use either unless it gets lost...Molly wrote:So long as the buyer understands that it's sent at their risk.
