Those combos are huge unwieldy and heavy beasts of things!
Not really a problem if it's just going to sit on top of a cabinet and not be moved though.

I just sold my Engl Screamer, that was a killer amp. I'd imagine it would tick all of your high gain boxes Oldie.

What about a rectifier? The singles come up pretty often on tm, and duals every now and then.

5150/6505 would probably be the safe choice. Rectos can be quite finnicky for the styles you want to play. Engls are great for downtuned stuff but can be a bit "soulless" for 80's stuff depending on your taste.

Had a couple of mesa boogies now and not really set me alight only the mkv25 was the best choice
