Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I think that the original one was better because it was so quirky & stood out from the crowd.
But it was uglier than me and I hate competition.

Too expensive, too difficult, too much work.....too lazy; besides, Ben would never have spoken to me again.

I thought the grills were on there to allow heat to move. Is that an issue?
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Think not. There's a fan and vents through the side. The back is 50% open. I've been running it with the fan off and it gets no warmer than would be expected.
The design philosophy here seems to be: Define durable. Double it. Now make everything bomb proof.
I still get a thrill every time I open this amp up. Everything about it says the guy building it had nothing more important in his life than making the best amp his considerable craft and skill would allow.
I promise the amp's next owner will acquire it from my estate.
