How about a flame maple veneer?

2 hours with the Optimus.....
It's as loud as a feral AC30
Never gonna run out of headroom again.
This is a seriously good amp. :D

Many hours later.........
With the pedal board connected, I started to get concerned. I had the amp volumes below 9 o'clock and it was still threatening to lay waste to my town then eat my babies. As I said before, just that raging AC30 thing.

So I swapped in some Tung Sol 6L6s and bugger me if it didn't morph into a nice Blackface Fender complete with, "plug straight in mate; everything you need's right here".

As the Clown in Chief would say, "It's a winner. There's so much winning in this win!"

This is getting tedious; I'll shut up now.

Deedlydeeldydumptydoo Happy Chappie!

The guy who had this built was super focussed on tones that are usable live so I'm sure this will be great for that too. I really should have bid on this, as I know how much time he put into this.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Tony's a great guy! We had a long chat. Tell me, is eyesight the reason he no longer plays?
Having met him, I actually feel quite protective towards the amp.
And this is my gig rig; running a THD 2x12 though I'd love to try it with a G12H and Gold.

I love it when an amp delivers! Congrats. Tronfest?

:( Been thinking: With my rehearsal workload and first gig the following weekend, I don't think I can make it. :(

To my horror, I couldn't motivate my ass to go riding in today's crappy weather so Conway's guilt trip floated to the top of my to do list.

I've debated so many options with no clear winner so it's action time; off to Spotlight and whatever catches my eye will do.

Front panel removed. The attention to detail in this amp is just amazing. The front panel is attached by screws with machine threads set into it!

6 unnecessary holes, covered with an aluminium sheet. Now, every surface of the cabinet is lined with aluminium sheet.

Fabric glued and wrapped, panel re-intalled. $10 and an hour's work. Done.

Think I like it; definitely an improvement. And a breeze to do again if I really have to.

So come on haters, I got big shoulders!

Ok, I'm going to be the odd one out.
I think that the original one was better because it was so quirky & stood out from the crowd.
Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.
