Thoughts? Lets say if price wasn't an issue - In terms of usability for live performances, what do you find better/easier?
And then lets say overall, factoring in price, what would you prefer?

The AX8 was designed with live performances in mind. Everything you need fits in a backpack, and setup and usability couldn't be easier, imo. I'm not sure what its like to program the mfc from the axe's front panel, but its easy enough on the AX8 to change anything once you get used to it. Even if money was no object, the Axe doesn't have anything that would make me want to shell out $2-3k more. Spend that on another nice guitar.

Ok thanks for your input. Yeah, I'm thinking more and more of getting the Ax8 instead of the Ax-ii and just buying an interface so I can record with it. The Ax8 is only $2,290 from independentmusic.co.nz now

Yeah go for it. I run mine into a Scarlett 2i2, works well enough for this amateur :)

Yeah the AX8 is more than enough for the average gigging person. Unless you want to run two amps or something, but I never felt the need to do that.

Yeah exactly. I run my AX8 like I would a normal rig, amp, cab, a few pedals. Not being able to run dual amps and do other fanciful stuff actually helps me to waste less time tweaking
