NTKAD
New Tone King amp day.
Better than the Imperial I had in that they've held back the reverb a bit on the rhythm channel as setting a level for clean was always too much when switching to dirty. This one's more balanced. Also, independent attenuators make it much easier to balance levels / tones. Has an ultra-linear switch too which makes it feel really compliant / forgiving. Very dynamic and very versatile. Just a nice bit of kit. TFFT...

Correct. Malcolm has a nice place up in Orewa with his backyard shed converted to his office/showroom.Molly wrote:Mentally fast! Collected about 3pm yesterday from somewhere (Orewa?) north of Auckland and at my door 8am today!Jellybelly wrote:Shite that was a quick delivery! Super freek'n Nice

Re: NTKAD
I must've watched dozens of them. I kept going until I heard someone make it sound like SRV's 'Lenny' and an approximation of his overdriven tone. There was one where the guy got a great vintage rock tone with a Les Paul. Definitely sounds wholly different depending on the guitar. This guy gets a nice tone too (but then he always does):H671 wrote:I saw a demo on youtube - it sounded very impressive - congrats

Re: NTKAD
Very nice, smaller than I thought it would be too.
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Re: NTKAD
Measures the same as a Lone Star 112 combo so not overly big. Not as big as the Splawn for example. Quite heavy though. Much more so than the Royalist.sizzlingbadger wrote:Very nice, smaller than I thought it would be too.

Incorrect protocol. Must be in the NAD thread.
