Re: The NZG MTS Thread
True, i'm glad you're here to point these things out to me haha. I just remembered I probably can't get the Brian May sound with the AC and RM100 because it needs the cranked EL84 power section. That wouldn't stop me getting it. Would be good for le pedals.
I've completely forgotten about the Mesa options. Orange also, whoops. The thing i'd really like to see would be a Laney Synergy module with the LA100BL and something else.

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
$399 USD for new Synergy dual channel modules. The bang for buck is relative to what you're comparing to I guess. For something made in the US, from nice parts, designed and licensed by a big name, I think it's fair value

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Morgan AC module on the way. There are VH4 and Metroplex demo modules in the Sweetwater Dealzone for anyone interested. It took a lot of will power to not buy the VH4.
Does anybody have a JJ Dirt module they want to part with?

Ok, so the Morgan AC is not on it's way. Apparantly Sweetwater only sell Synergy to the US now..

also - pretty sure you can buy from synergy direct?
Question: how useable are these without an actual power section - I'm quite tempted to set up a "stereo" amp setup with 2x SYN1's and 2 modules.. not wanting to have to buy a power amp - wondering if the built in Cab sim is useable.

Usable but meh (like any analog cab sim really). I wouldn't mind sending that to the desk at a gig but I'd get an IR loader if you're not using cabs at all.SimpleSi wrote:wondering if the built in Cab sim is useable.

They won't accept my youshop address. Told me it's been flagged as a freight forward company and they won't ship it there.SimpleSi wrote:Youshop.Mattallica wrote:Ok, so the Morgan AC is not on it's way. Apparantly Sweetwater only sell Synergy to the US now..

You can buy direct from Synergy but they don't have discounted demo modules or the gift option to remove the paperwork from the box. Which is important for import reasons..
Can't comment on the cab sim as I'm not using the Syn-1 sorry

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
Contact Synergy and ask for a discount and editing paperwork..
I've been given $325 as a price per module from Synergy
Maybe it's just the pricing they've given me through artists discounting

Re: The NZG MTS Thread
At a gear fest we should have an MTS corner and let everyone hear the beasts.
I'd like to bring along my plexi head and do a blind test to see who can guess whether it is the module or the real thing. It's like those blind wine tastings, except that I expect you guys to do better than the wine experts.

That's a great price! but i can neither pretend to be an artist or ask them to be complicit in excluding paperwork..SimpleSi wrote:Contact Synergy and ask for a discount and editing paperwork..
