New BAD
Yeah bass amp day Been harbouring thoughts of playing bass in a band again, but not having
a) a car on the road
b) a bass amp
sort of put that idea out of my head. Then I noticed a poor little Ampeg 200 that was down on its luck, having fallen out of favour with its master, and being in the wrong shaped box etc....
Anyone it was a damned good excuse to catch up with Dave over a couple of beers and do the deal. He's even lent me an awesome Genz Benz 15 Neo thingy to make the most of it! Planning on building a new head cab for the poor wee mite, and a bass cab of my own shortly!
mmm and a bin full of wine bottles....

Re: New BAD
it sounds bloody awesome.... I've been playing for months through my PA with either the hd500 and then the headrush. Its just not the same, don't the depth of bass you do with an actual bass amp. probably need to get some subwoofers, for the PA lol....

Re: New BAD
I'm officially walled in now, my office is tiny. I'm thinking of wall mounting the PA speakers. Thats one on the left under the fan.
Incidentally that is a fully boxed up HD500X that could be yours, its got all the packs. Ready to go.

Re: New BAD
Any good for guitar?
When i was in USA my ex's Dad bought back an old silver face Fender bass amp for his granddaughter to learn on. I was dying to try it but never got the chance. It had a 15" speaker that was blown, so he got it for cheap. Not sure of the model.

Re: New BAD
Great rig!
. Love neos and bass. We use a 2*12 mark bass rig . Sounds great and very spine friendly.

Re: New BAD
Yeah I'm going to build a ported cab with a 15" neo. Probably pine too which will really help.
Theres a 4x10 markbass on trademe as of this morning, if I had the cash (about 1k), and a car it would fit in lol ...
