Some amps are just really good pedal platforms and like to be smashed on the input. Its down to input topology. Best I've owned was the crate v30 head. That loved everything.
I used to kick my jcm800 in the face with a rat, and the jcm had diode clipping, but even then it sounded great :)

blah blah, impedence something maybe, blah etc not sure what the formula is ;)
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
