WAZA Tube Amp Expander!!
I'm surprised that this hasn't really popped up here yet considering the number of awesomely loud tube amps but also the number of you with kids and/or loudness constraints
If you haven't heard of this one, it is:
- A tuneable reactive load, with
- active attenuation
- built-in effects loop (line/instrument level, series or parallel)
- on-board effects (comp, delay, reverb)
- solo boost + full EQ
- cab simulation
- IR loading
- fully footswitchable and MIDI controllable
- direct feed via XLR out or USB recording
Having had quite a bit of time with this in the last 3-4 weeks all I can say is... it does everything it says on the box and it does it WELL. I've never seen so many smiling faces as when I'm in stores and I turn a Plexi up to 10 to get that roar, and then use the WTAE to turn it down so that we don't all die.

Re: WAZA Tube Amp Expander!!
i watched that today and thought it would tick so many boxes-having a tube amp that is beyond practical to play ever and with all the added ir/fx as a bonus then i saw the price on thomann and nearly died. Wasn't quite expecting that but then again nothing matches it for features.

i dunno ... isn't the UA thing very similar and i think a bit cheaper?Kris wrote:i watched that today and thought it would tick so many boxes-having a tube amp that is beyond practical to play ever and with all the added ir/fx as a bonus then i saw the price on thomann and nearly died. i woulda been interested if they'd gone in at a lot less than the UA

The UA thing (as you put it) does one very small part of what the Tube Amp Expander does, and costs morephilly wrote:i dunno ... isn't the UA thing very similar and i think a bit cheaper?Kris wrote:i watched that today and thought it would tick so many boxes-having a tube amp that is beyond practical to play ever and with all the added ir/fx as a bonus then i saw the price on thomann and nearly died.
