NAD.... Tweedy
Not much of a surprise, I got one of Mikes 5e3 builds in a contra. Had it in a head for a few weeks. This weekend I spent a solid 2 days building a new cab, have finished it off today. Took many shortcuts as I will be relicing once the bullseye has flashed off fully in about a month.
Has a pair of old Nos 6v6's in it now, I can't remember the type/brand, but they are special. No markings. And its stuffed full of cannabis
First thoughts are that it sounds glorious - I've said it before but if you want real tweed tone, you need a strat or tele in the front end. Its sounding awesome with all others but special with the singles.
Pics will be forthcoming when the grill cloth arrives!

So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
Re: NAD.... Tweedy
Certainly sounds a bit special. Had a Cannabis speaker in my old tweed Princeton Reverb clone, sounded great. Look forward to seeing the pics

I forgot how mindbending tweed deluxe controls are. Just twiddle every possible combination until it sounds right, ignore the dials lol

I can hear Grant choking with indignation as he yells, "Neil Young!"Bg wrote:I've said it before but if you want real tweed tone, you need a strat or tele in the front end.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

There are exceptions. He's more likely to be yelling 'Summer of 69' isn't he?

I love Tele/Strat into tweed...I understand the magic. The amp is juicy and thick and the single coils balance and add to the overall picture.
