I thought something similar when I walked into K-Mart yesterday and saw a pile of Haloween crap. I mentioned to the kids about this being an utter waste of the world's resources in design, sourcing, manufacture, distribution and disposal.
Things made to last and used for as long as possible make sense to me.

There are a lot of other brands that I'd look at because of that.
I guess that's true of most things. I just visited a car museum and was lusting after a McLaren. But for the price I suppose I could buy a few Toyotas. Would still want the McLaren though.
Not to change the direction of this thread, but comparing apples with apples I wouldn't aspire to or want a Dumble for example or a vintage '50s LP now, having had the experience of playing them, they're simply not worth the dollars asked...........not unless you could buy them really cheaply and get a good bargain.
