I wonder if it weighs as much as the original combos, I tried to lift one once, it was like Thor's hammer

Re: 5150 Iconic Series
Not amp talk but... I saw Wolfgang has been playing a Wolfgang shaped semi-hollow EVH guitar on his latest tour. Wonder if it's a custom thing or something they're looking to bring into production.

Re: 5150 Iconic Series
My first reaction was "I'm not sure the world needs a US$900 hybrid amp when the 6505 and 5153 50w are both US$1k"
Then turns out that Peavey has discontinued the 6505/6505+ and is coming out with a "6505II", which I guess might be even more expensive. And the 50w 5153 is now US$1399.
Amps:
Soldano SLO100 x2 | Wizard MC1 & MC2 | Diezel Herbert
Fryette Pittbull CL | Marshall 2203KK | Krank Rev 50 | Mesa Mark 2A
Rack stuff:
VHT/Fryette GP3, GP/DI & 2/90/2 | Peters FSM/Chimera
Verellen Meatsmoke | Synergy SYN1 | Mesa Studio

Re: 5150 Iconic Series
I still have on my wish list a Peavey 5150 or 6505 (don't care which really), but they don't seem to come up used here much anymore..godgrinder wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 2:05 amMy first reaction was "I'm not sure the world needs a US$900 hybrid amp when the 6505 and 5153 50w are both US$1k"

Re: 5150 Iconic Series
I could have sworn there was a 6505 on TM right now, but I just looked and couldn't find it, so I must have been wrong.chur wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 7:55 amI still have on my wish list a Peavey 5150 or 6505 (don't care which really), but they don't seem to come up used here much anymore..godgrinder wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 2:05 amMy first reaction was "I'm not sure the world needs a US$900 hybrid amp when the 6505 and 5153 50w are both US$1k"

Re: 5150 Iconic Series
I keep a casual look out, but tbh would have to be in Canterbury also as I can't be faffed with shipping heavy valve amps nowadays.. so that will limit my chanceshamo wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:32 amI could have sworn there was a 6505 on TM right now, but I just looked and couldn't find it, so I must have been wrong.chur wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 7:55 amI still have on my wish list a Peavey 5150 or 6505 (don't care which really), but they don't seem to come up used here much anymore..godgrinder wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 2:05 am
