Just thought id share my absolute stokedness of this particular combo.
Mike C build DR loaded with semi GASC64 Alessandro
Real pleasure to play with the hotplate and volume up around 5-6. Suits a fairly stock JM ( these are the jess loureiro surf set so pretty vintage voiced JM pups).

Would be interesting to compare to my identical head with the 2x10 Warehouse speakers.

Re: Alessandro equipped DR (mike c)
I'm so stoked! Strummers had always thought that the amp didn't sound "right" and performed and A/B with Rob's DR (also built by me) to prove it. So he bought the amp back & I quickly found the hookup mistake I'd made on the bass pots of both channels which was the fix. Trust your ears!StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 3:25 pm Just thought id share my absolute stokedness of this particular combo.

I may not know much, but I know how a black face fender should sound
Thanks Mike, she's a beaut. Every amp garage needs a deluxe reverb, and now I have one. Can't see it going anywhere.
Just had a blast through it with the 64' jag. The nicest tone is direct into the amp. Played around with boosts, delays and attenuation but something magic about a guitar of that vintage straight into that circuit.

Nice! I was playing my Alessandro-equipped MikeC Princeton Reverb this afternoon. I've the 10" GA-SC64 in it. Great speakers. I've put probably less than five hours on it since I put it in a year ago, but I can use the amp much more now in my new flat. I'm impressed with how good the speaker sounds before it's even broken in.

Agree. I'm very impressed. Does the fender clean sparkle but also tolerates a bit of a spanking without the low end giving out.Starfire wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 6:34 pm Nice! Bet the 10" sounds the biz in a PR
