Amp Front Panel Repair
I have an aluminium front panel on my amp and the black lettering is wearing off. I have a feeling it wasn't finished properly at the factory as the lettering just flakes really easily, maybe it didn't get a clear coat.
Does anyone know where I could it get re-printed or even a new panel created ? I have contacted Marshall but they no longer have the parts.

Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

Hi Nik
I have discussed this with the team and unfortunately we are not equipped to be able to achieve this for you.

Re: Amp Front Panel Repair
I just wanted them to re-print on the aluminium panel, they originally said they would have to make a new panel, then they came back with the reply above. I'm just dealing with the company email from their website.

Well I think Sandy has some keenness to do guitar stuff so it might help to hit him up directly, but I don’t really know of coursesizzlingbadger wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2023 12:14 pm I just wanted them to re-print on the aluminium panel, they originally said they would have to make a new panel, then they came back with the reply above. I have a feeling the CAD work involved might be the stumbling block. I have always done my own cad work and then send it off. That way they can print on cardboard first for you to check and once happy move to alu. There are two shops I deal with in Auckland so happy to assist if you can provide a cad file. Who knows, you might find someone else has already done it
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Re: Amp Front Panel Repair
They have quoted $300 to reprint it. I'm not sure what to do at this stage, I need to get it fixed as its just getting worse.

Re: Amp Front Panel Repair
Could you print the labels on waterslide paper, apply them, then clearcoat over them? It'd be easy to find the same font(s).
