Amp COvers
Remember that guy on TradeMe that made custom amop covers. Anyone know how I can contact him, or of another alternative maker? I need one for my TopHat Super Deluxe. Thanks, *U*.

Re: Amp COvers
I could do with a couple as well for the bombardier, saves using towels and flightcases are just way too heavy
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Dave & Heather Josland <josland@xtra.co.nz>
Dave makes excellent leather guitar straps (I bought six, used some for gifts and kept four for myself) and amp covers.

Re: Amp COvers
In my opinion a cardboard slip cover is the next best thing to a flight case. You can make one in 30 mins and it will protect better than a canvas or vinyl cover.

Re: Amp COvers
but if I use all my cardboard for a slip cover, what am I going to use as a "hardboard" guitar? anyone else watching that docco on c4 about the origins of heavy metal.. I'm quite enjoying it actual.Timi wrote:In my opinion a cardboard slip cover is the next best thing to a flight case. at $120 a pop, cardboard is good enough for me. Can I borrow your nails and bailing twine Mr. Rocklander?

Re: Amp COvers
I'm not entirely sure buying a cheaper product constitutes an upgrade...
What are you covering it up for anyways? (I can only think dust / earthquake paranoia.)

Re: Amp COvers
I should imagine we want covers to stop the tolex getting ripped/torn and speaker cloth getting ripped/torn and speakers getting ripped/torn - when bouncing around in the back of moving vehicles on the way to/from gigs/practice
of course it wouldn't stop them from falling out of the back of a drummers car....
