Refresh my memory please. Valve or solid state? 1 x 12? 2 x 12? combo or head/cab separates?

This might be obvious, but they're not out of phase are they ? I wired a pair of of speakers in a 2x12 the wrong way once and got no bass at all, just horrid upper mids...

I've had two Rockits. A Prochamp and a Superlead. Still like the Superlead, hated the Prochamp. SS fizziness.

I've got a couple of tonkers (the speakers you filthy minded individuals) in a Holden 100W 2x12 combo and they have plenty of bass...

Perhaps you're not driving them hard enough :-)

Easiest way to check the phase: plonk a 9V battery onto the speaker leads and see if both speakers move the same way at the same time.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

It moves the cone. So you need to watch the speaker as you connect the battery.
