midi n00b.....

so i bought a alesis micro verb4 to go in my rack with my ada mp1,and i'm totally stuck as to how to get them to switch patches together...
ie-ada:patch 3,mv4-patch 25
ada:patch 45,mv4-patch 13...etc

the way i have it at the mo the footswitch is changing the ada banks but not the mv4,i have them set to the same midi channel but i'm clueless from thereon in....

help! :D

Can your MIDI footswitch switch on 2 MIDI channels simultaneously? set one midi channel for the ADA, one for the alesis?

Just a guess.!

assuming the cabling is right - try it both ways..
look for MIDI THRU in the menu - it should be ON
and look for MIDI MAPPING..or maybe PATCH MAP this will let you set which patch you get for which MIDI number

cheers,i got it to switch direct i.e 1=1,2=2,etc.the ada has midi mapping so i'll check that out.
