Excuses I don't need to refute any of this, I think your erratic behaviour on this forum speaks for itself I'm out of this topic - I wasn't even commenting on your thread really, just the gibberish comment. Peace

Re: How much does the 'phase inverter' affect my tone?
Thanks man, but I'll be right. I tried a few tubes that CAB sent down, none of them made alot of difference really, but I settled on one that seemed to make no difference slightly better than the other two. Single channel amp with master volume. Way i read it, V2 is is the preamp and V3 is the phase inverter...

There is 6 triodes in that schem;
Each 12ax7 has 2 triodes in a bottle
so that would make it 3 12ax7's in total!!
Sounds like you had a hackjob mig60

No worries, I just wondered if you considered the input stage different to the preamp stage. At least this thread is once again about phase inverters and tubeszdali wrote:oops, my mistake, V1 and V2 are preamps and V3 is a phase inverter.CustomAudioBoutique wrote:Making V1 = ?

That's highly unusual for this forum...CustomAudioBoutique wrote:No worries, I just wondered if you considered the input stage different to the preamp stage. Anyhow, no, I simply didn't see V1 because my beer bottle was in the way And sides it's kinda hard to _not_ have a phase inverter in a class AB amp...
