Soldering iron, desoldering braid, and some plyers, followed by the circuit not working.

Hmm, I have the rest down packed but the circuit not working is not the desired effect?

Looks like I was told a porky, thanks.

My Strat at pres, but I'm getting in am old Peavey T.G. Raxx pre amp, as from what I can see, they are quite reasonable sounding for the outlay.

I saw on a forum, one guy was singing its praises but went on to mention that removing the clipping diodes really opens the Tubes up.

I cant pretend to know the ins and outs of amps etc but I know that I could remove a diode :) not if it will kill the amp though.

Thanks

The clipping diodes are probably LEDs. Unsure if you would need to jumper them if you take them out.

I would go back on that forum and ask the person for a more detailed description of their mod.

Email parts@peavey.com and say "I have a T.G Raxx I'm currently working on, can I get the schematic for it please"
They'll send it to you for free. then drop me a PM and I'll help you get 'em out.

You'll loose some gain though.
