Mooer Pedals

Post by cholera »

Now that I'm lugging around a PT mini instead of a hardcase PT-1, these mini size pedals seem a lot more attractive to me. I'd like to hear of any experience's with the Mooer ones, in particular the octave pedal and that pitchshifter one. I think Ed was doing some reviews or something on these a while back, and is there anyone who stocks them apart from whoever it is on Trademe who is selling them?

I listened to a demo of the pitchshifter, and that is exactly what I'm looking for, it just didnt sound like it was tracking all that well, but it's hard to tell in some video demos...

The distro is www.guitareffects.co.nz, who's on here as well, though I can't remember his username.

The pitch shifter tracks well for the most part, a little shaky for bigger shifts + lower strings in my experience.

I'm selling a Black Secret - Rat clone - if you're interested. Does a very good Rat and turbo Rat sound.

If you want accurate tracking on an octave pedal, you're much better looking at an EHX Micro-POG.

Conway I sold my POG 2 which is the dumbest thing I ever did, please don't remind me of that! Though, I'll admit I sold it to buy a HOG, which I do love, but it's just so goddam huge to actually use at a gig on a pedal board. Especially now that I have a PT mini. And thanks for the offer on the Rat but I really only am looking at getting "effects" effects.

POG 2's are great. I was at a mate's place last weekend and kicked it into a church organ. That completely blew his mind.

I've got a Shim Verb that I'm going to be reviewing for Six String Samurai soon. Looking forward to that. I was also really impressed with the Eleclady and Hustle drive.

I've sold the Black Secret now sorry. For small pedals on a Pedaltrain, I've put a thin piece of tin sheet between the PT rails, holding it in place with the velcro that the pedal attaches to. Makes a steadier platform for the pedal.
