That Charvel DK24 I was asking about is on its way here from Aussie. I'm buying it from a YouTuber I follow who did the 15 minute demo and then put it back in the box so practically new.

What interested me is that it looks to be between classic strat and modern shredder. I don't like either extreme so hopefully this goes well. It is black, which is the most boring colour for guitars but if I like it I'll address that in due course.

Why 250k pots? Are they recommended by Lace for that model?

Yeah they recommend 250k for their Alumitone pickups :-)

This arrived today and it sounds spectacular, so versatile twisting the vol and tone knobs on the guitar for different tones and the sustain to clarity ratio is off the charts.

SE Electronics SE X1 R Ribbon mic from Andertons.
First time buying off them, arrived in under a week and around half the price with shipping included.
Wanted to try a cheap ribbon, and this one had good reviews. Sounds great on a crunchy guitar paired up with a SM57, more fullness in the bottom end.
