Oh, and one other thing - how would a wah work with a Pocket POD?

I've just been trawling teh intarnetz and found that we've managed to plan our LA trip for a week when there are absolutely no bands playing that I've heard of. :?

Should be ok I think it should be the last link in the chain, closest to the amp. Wah's also work best with the least other effects otherwise it tends to get zeroed out and sound samick. So aim for a clean-ish tone.

Assuming a POD is like a Guitarport that is the exception. But in a normal signal chain is it closest to the guitar or the amp?

Wah is normally the first in your chain. Some wahs like the teese ones can be put after distortion or fuzz cause of some fuzz friendly thing in them....i think :?:

I made one in the '70s for bass - all for the sake of one smegging Sabbath number. Apart from that I never used it. Mind you, I have never had much joy out of bass effects at all - I prefer just bass - wire - amp - speaker.

On guitar I used it like BasketCase says - to hide the fact that as a rhythm guitarist, I'm a good paperweight. Same reason I used to use chorus...
