Oleg has a 714 that is THE BEST TAYLOR ever made. End of story.Molly wrote:Wanted a Taylor since Adam was a boy. Now, thanks to opsguy, I've this on the way in (t'Internet pic). Taylor 314CE.
OK. I'm done now.
As Bob Taylor said in an interview:
"95% of the guitars we make are excellent."
"So what about the other 5%?"
"They're perfect."
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Joined my churches’ worship team who runs IEM’s - going to be very happy with this setup methinks. Really looking forward to using the Torpedo for night time guitar playing too.
Also, thanks to the long suffering Polar Bear, finally got my Alvarez Delta 00 Deluxe. Incredibly characterful guitar, all mahogany, big v shape neck that’s perfect for the finger style blues I’ve been learning. Probably played this more than any other guitar I’ve got.
Also, got my old Warwick Streamer LX 4 back! It’s better than I remember.

I have that special amp coming mid year but in the interim I’m hanging for a Marshally something. Waiting is hard.

me too, Ever since getting hooked on the Boyce Avenue channel on youtube years ago
I 've only got the cheaper 214 with solid top but laminate back and sides but when I played 20 or so in the shop it was the one I kept going back too which was doing my head in because it wasn't real wood
I preferred it over some of the way dearer guitars, and was amazed at how dead sounding some things like guild sounded
had to fight the logic to buy a dearer one and still glad I did.
The necks on Taylors are the business I reckon, I also own a martin and a Cole Clarke and still want a hummingbird and maybe a J200

Nice! And thanks. It is a wonderful guitar. Best Taylor I've ever played, for sure.Slowy wrote:Oleg has a 714 that is THE BEST TAYLOR ever made. End of story.Molly wrote:Wanted a Taylor since Adam was a boy. Now, thanks to opsguy, I've this on the way in (t'Internet pic). Taylor 314CE.

Le Bass is coming from the States, Torpedo CAB was on Trademe for a very sharp price.Mattallica wrote:

Seen a bunch of talkbass lads using that setup with extremely encouraging results.
Really keen to hear how it performs on guitar though

Nothing terribly exciting but it's part of my quest for a single duty spring reverb pedal, in place of an amp reverb... trying out the Topanga.

Strings, a nice looking LP copy and some amber speed knobs.
