Definitely taking a punt, seems to be a lot of these cheap types of phone available now, don't really see the point in spending more than about $250 on a disposable item like a phone, so if I can get one that performs almost as well as a $1000+ phone them I'm gonna be pretty happy!codedog wrote:Would love to hear how you get on... on the lookout for a new phone for the missus.jeremyb wrote:A new cellphone, gone with a cheap chinese grunter, $280 delivered... http://ulefone.com/products/t1/features.html hopefully it performs as well as it says...

A camera. Not a very exciting one but at least I'll HAVE a camera in hand, while I try to figure out if I'm going to invest big money in to a pro grade camera rig.

Sure is Slowy, all birch with a maple fretboard. Has quite the bark to it, and I put nickel strings on so quite bright. Now I just have to learn how to play the thing (Actually have already got chords and a couple of songs sorted, but my tremolo picking sucks )Slowy wrote:Nice! looks like it might be quite loud too.k1w1 wrote:Just had this come in the mail, a 1930's mandolin

A few hours set up and fret job and playing well.
Likes a good, ringy mandolin I does.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
