So the wrap-up is I ended up adding $1k (in round figures) to my initial purchase price. Anyone want an approx figure for a $2kish USD guitar import (assuming you get reasonable shipping costs, which should be more like $250)? Bank on around $3700 ballpark depending on the exchange rate at time of purchase. Mine ended up just shy of $4k in total.

Med relic surf green. Actually damn nice in the flesh, phenomenal relic job really and feels better than the other Suhrs I've had with the roasted then treated neck (and I'm at Suhr # 8, so I'm getting a pretty good feel for them now!).

Aww man, i've been keen on one of these! Where'd you get it from? How much?
Got it from Prymaxe, emailed for 20% off. Ended up $340ish shipped I think?

They sound amazing, have simple on board controls but can go mental with app and midi.

You can even replace the options on the front to be different ones.

No way! Awesome. "Emailed for 20% off" as in you just asked if they could do a deal? Or they had a 20% off email?

Prymaxe will give you 20% in the chat if you ask I reckon. They're pretty sales driven...
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

You'll like the stock pickups, they're actually rather good.
Did you buy new?
Yep, but bought from Aussie a few years ago while I was on holiday and flew it back.

Nice one. A good deal indeed. I kept looking back at that auction. I'm not sure i could've lived with the colour. Too much like one of those entry level Epi sgs. Might be all good in the flesh though?

Yeah, know what you mean but I can look past it if it turns out to be a good guitar. I had a SG Custom in the same red (came with EMGs from new) and I liked that.

Ah well there you go, no worries at all. It's the only SG i've seen with an ebony fretboard, that'd make it a winner for me

Putting some chrome pickup covers on would help i reckon. Are you going to give the pickups a go or take them straight out?

Putting the BK Mules in that I bought recently so those existing ones will be straight out.

My old red one was like this:
