you mean the middle PUp? :? :|
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

Same. I'm hoping someone will put out an 8 string with passive pickups.
Agile do, but if you ignore all the fanboyism on sevenstring.org you find out they're really poorly finished and need a lot of work to play nicely... shame really!
Ha, I actually have an Agile! Unfortunately what you say is true.

I had to get a bunch of work done to the neck and I find the kahler unusable to the point where I just lock it into position. I don't like how the action hybrid kahler feels and it goes out of tune anyway. People are saying if they're set up correctly they're fine but I had mine set up by a tech and it doesn't stay in tune. I've never had that problem with floyds and I set them up myself and go nuts with the dive bomb wankery.

It seems like a lot of people are happy with their agiles (over on sevenstring.org) though so maybe I just got a dud?

That sux dude!! Nah I reckon they're just clueless muppets who have never played a decent guitar, I'm only really a beginner player but even I can feel the difference between a crapper and something decent!

ESP are releasing one this year. SC-208. Should be around NZ$1,500 methinks....(to be confirmed)
That seems steep for a 200-level guitar. Is it pricier because of the extra strings? (I mean the effect the extra strings necessitate on the other specs of the guitar)

Low volume item, twin trussrods required for the neck, limited and expensive bridge and pickup choice, seems like its priced pretty well to be honest, its cheaper than a RGA8 and better specced!

Actually you're right. $1,500 was off the top of my head. Upon closer inspection, may be closer to $1,099 - $1,199

BTW, just a quick pic to get y'all in the mood...

Nothing much happening today - just some pre-show dealer meetings - but there is a really great buzz around as people arrive and get settled in, and they are setting up the multiple stages around the Convention centre and surrounding hotels ready for all the gigs that will be going on.

Looking forward to tomorrow....

Ah, I see it right here.

If they are passive they're still using active housing. I guess it makes it easier to manufacture.

Ooh, the The ESP KH-2 SE is giving me wood, and I don't mind who knows it!

Also that JK-1 LTD isn't too shabby either.

What. The. Fuck.

Looks like one of those cheap AXL or whatever knock-offs of an ESP EX!! And I never thought I'd see the day that Jaymz had a big fuck-off treble clef on his fretboard...
