Hey folks, I'm going to be up in The Tron this weekend, is there any room for one more? I've got The AC30 and a few other toys.
Where exactly is the Killing Room?

I'll probably come along with a guitar and a Zoom modeller to see how it compares to the real thing(s). I'll see if MW will let me bring something interesting from the Peavey stock, but I don't like the chances!

Sadly no. My nephew is turning 1, so I'll be over with the family from about 1:00. I'll be in Grey Lynn though (ok - Arch Hill if you want to be precious about it ), so I'll probably be able to hear you guys - especially Polar Bear's AC30, by the sound of itPolar Bear wrote:anyone else coming to this here shindig? If anyone has a suitable laptop recording setup, that might be a useful and informative thing to have on hand while people try out the various fancy gear. Soundclips make it easy to hear the real differences in a controlled manner.

If you can - have a blind competition - I've done it in the past and its fun - especially if the booze is there also...
one guitarist - all the amps - everyone else behind a curtain, in the next room, or just looking t'other way. Have a sheet of paper each and get the guitarist to play the same riffs through all the amps at random. See if anyone can name all the amps in the correct order. If in the same room, place them as close as possible together so people can't memorise which one is which by batlocation.
If anyone can - I hear Lois Lane is looking for a partner now that Superman's died...

He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...
