JHS Ryan Adams VCR

Since Mr Adams has been mentioned a few times in the last week.
Not a bad option to add to an overdrive and delay as a backup board for live stuff (for when the M9 fails, as it does at the most inconvenient times).

Re: JHS Ryan Adams VCR
I like the simplicity... I think most people who use a chorus and/or reverb pedal would have it set on their one sweet spot most of the time
if yours is the same as ryan adams .........

I liked that joke before it was popular, I was an early adopter. When it became popular I dropped it like a stone. I'm a trend setter, not a follower.null_pointer wrote:I liked the one he had in the Summer of '69 better.

I bet he wished he'd stuck with his first name now Although David Adams sounds like a poor man's Bowie really.

Looks like a good option, effectively like having another "amp" channel.
They keep telling me tone is in the fingers, but I have yet to see a "look at my fingers" thread.

Re: JHS Ryan Adams VCR
The ribbon controller cable comes loose inside the device...rendering it instantly useless. One has to drop the back off and reconnect it. There's no way to firmly hold it in as they don't have a clip on the connection, like you would expect (as computers do).JHorner wrote:Care to elaborate on the type and frequency of failure?GrantB wrote:for when the M9 fails, as it does at the most inconvenient times
So not so much a s/w failure (although it does freeze every now and then, and one has to repower to reset).

I see there's some discussion online about hot gluing these in place...good idea.JHorner wrote:That's quite an oversight. The case case can take a beating, but if you gently shake it the insides fall apart?
Good to know thanks.
