AC15 GAS [SOLVED]
With Alnico blue. Want. Need to shed some gear to cash up, but the prowl has commenced.
Any comments from the experts on the umteen variations and different models?

If you can stretch to handwired, get it. If not, the custom classic series are still killer ampsCdog wrote:With Alnico blue. Want. Need to shed some gear to cash up, but the prowl has commenced.

Re: AC15 Gas
I'd go hand wired again if I was going to get another

I'm feeling this gas too... very keen on a hand-wired AC15 when my tax return arrives in May.

Re: AC15 Gas
I've got an AC15C1 and am very happy with it! Especially coz I got it for a bargain used, not even sure if my ears can tell the difference from a HW one, but if your budget permits then sure get the HW one

Yeah that's a deal! And I think those new ones have the built in power scaling too!godgrinder wrote:The head version is on sale for dirt cheap at the moment, maybe one of these plus the cab of your choice?

Re: AC15 Gas
Thanks bro... yeah I don't seed the size, weight or power of the 30. I like the AC15/Blue sound and want to have some fun with 2 amps again... especially with the SD3000Reg18 wrote:If you wanna try an AC30HW I've got one, although the 30 and 15 do sound a bit different. I'm assuming you want the 15 because of weight and size issues?

Stereo delays are great! If only I could convince our sound guy to get rid of a BV or something to create another channel on the desk!Cdog wrote:Thanks bro... yeah I don't seed the size, weight or power of the 30. There are plenty of AC15s around but with a Blue could be harder to find. Have you tried the standard Greenback version?

Re: AC15 Gas
Green sounds good... Blue I like more. Perhaps I could wangle a green and find another speaker

Re: AC15 Gas
I had a chance to A/B the standard Ac15 and the HW, both with Blue speakers. I thought the HW was quite a lot better, and the half power option is really handy.
