Help! Recommend me a distortion pedal.
None of my OD's cut it with the new band. Need a classic rock distortion tone for those Foo Fighters (amongst others) moments.
Will never use it again when my tenure with the band is over so I don't want to pay Suhr Riot prices.
What should I look at?

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

2 x Metalzones stacked orda do it!
And if your not man enough to handle that, I saw one of those Fulltone GT500s on TM last week struggling to get $120, I reckon that would be a good option.

Re: Help! Recommend me a distortion pedal.
Running into a clean amp? If so, a pedal that is voiced like an amp they use may help. BE pedals are expensive, so a Marshall sounding pedal boosted by your overdrive might get you in the ballpark. Dirty little Secret for example, or the budget equivalent from Mooer etc. For the Mesa tones, could use same but add a eq pedal after the amp in box pedal to tweak it more Mesa like.

I'll recommend the Pro Co RAT til I die, especially if you can get one with the original LM308.
