It's just a rebranded Alto with a few mods, cheap and cheerful, but reliable :)
I have one, it's excellent, no reliability issues with it. Getting a second for stereo shortly.

Headrush have said it's tuned differently to the Alto and uses different components. Take that as you will.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Plenty of people rate the Alto stuff for FRFR, I think it's pretty hard to go wrong with building a clean solid state power amp, the only thing the cheaper ones seem to skimp on is the resiliency of the cabinet and perhaps the speakers...

Get this in mate. Awesome way to check out modelling, and I don't think you would pick up a secondhand one for what you'd bring it in for...

edit - might want to use youshop though for the shipping!

Looks like there’s a near-new Line 6 Firehawk on TM for $400. Any good?

Would probably be wasted on me as I’m only using it for playing, looks like this unit is primarily aimed at the recording side of things?

There’s one on TM for $600 at the moment.

recording is quite good with it, but I just used it for headphone jamming mainly. The key was that they had it for US$199 in the black Friday sale, which was damned good value.

It is essentially a headrush in a box. There are differences but they're still a great unit.
