Am I crazy to be considering selling my Bigsky for a Flint?
Apart from the convenience of syncing my Strymon Timeline and Bigsky with a midi controller I’m pretty much using a darkish plate Reverb with expression controlling the decay length 90% of the time.
Seems like over kill right?
Never quite managed to get the Bigsky to replicate the Flints reverbs either.

As a man who has done this exact scenario twice...keep the Bigsky.
Each time I've regretted going back to the Flint eventually - having control over the lows of the Reverb is really useful.

The Flint is very special. I returned a recently purchased Big Sky for a Flint when I heard it, but now have got the Big Sky back again, though kept the Flint. If there’s any way about it, just pick up a used Flint and go both for a while. See how you go?
Larrivee 00 Acoustic. FAV Strat for electric. Ibanez SDGR5 for bass. Push for Ableton. When not doing that, 3D CAD for tunnels...

There is never a good reason to sell a Flint
Tube amp and guitar tones straight from 1958… amazing how believable the sounds were back then, even without the modellers...

All down to what you think really...I’ve still got a Flint after being through everything else (some several times) but YMMV...

I dunno in my mind if you get that sound in your head from a device then it's worth hanging onto for that reason alone, cause that sound in your head may change in time and the bigsky is wayyyyy more flexible in that regard

I think you should swap your Bigsky for my Flint.

Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

But... If it's not doing it for you, weigh it up and make the call. There's lots (LOTS) of good reverbs out there these days, be a chance to try something new. Plus bigsky is one heckuva footprint if you only use one sound. 2c
