the light blue one is a 10 top? wow standards have dropped if that is a 10 top.

Rotary switch is great once you get used to it.

neck pick up on a 24 stays clean in the mix. original design, he must have known what he was on about at the time.
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

First one looks way better to my eye, but maple neck on a CU24 is a weirdness I'm not certain I'd appreciate.
I'd bet my bottom dollar that as a player, the second one would be more magic.

I agree with mrmofo also, that it is a VERY unremarkable 10-top.

what did you get?
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

If I understand it correctly, 10 tops are the best 10% from any batch so conceivably, if it's a particularly good batch, you can get a pretty nice top on a regular PRS or, as maybe in this case, a pretty crappy one on a 10 top.

You understand incorrectly. I suspect it’s a poor photo more than anything.
