I'd get a hotcake for low gain drive and a G2D Custom OD or MI Audio Crunchbox for heavy. You will not do it all with one pedal, not well anyway. As for the budget, good look mate!

I have a hotcake already actually...its quite nice for leads...

it's cool.. I'm un-awesome enough for the both of us.
fuzzybro for sure. he'll be able to recommend the right unit for ya.
maybe I've a dud RAT but mine just does not cut through at all... never really liked it.
best pedal I ever remember using was my stock standard tokai distortion. I traded it in on the rat. regretted it ever since.

no maybe in that one. the odie/supreaux I built must be like the inverse phase of my dud guitaring cos it cuts thru awesomely compared to the rat.

how queer.... tried twisting the tone knob thingy? mine cuts through like a squealing telecaster with a tweak of that knob. Fair rattles the fillings from your teeth.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.
I have a programmable twin distortion Korg 104ds pedal for $100. Everything from warm 70s fuzz to mid-scooped metal mayhem (and both available at the push of a footswitch.)

yep... really had to throw the volume up heaps to get it thru.. I dunno.. perhaps it's just the mix in the band doesn't like that particular pedal. at home on its own it's fine, but in the band mix she's just puss. not a biggie tho, but like I said, the odie/supreaux is the cat's meow so am happy as with that anyways.

Hey thanks I might consider it...the only thing I'm worried about is reliability with that pedal...but cheers.
