Swapping EMG's and Blackouts around.

Post by danrawkz »

Is this possible by just taking the pickups out and moving them between guitars? Looking to move my EMG's into my Blackout loaded guitar and vice versa. Both are using the appropriate pots etc.
cheers

If the Blackouts are wired using the plugs you can just unplug the pickups and swap them over. Otherwise the SDs will plug into the EMG loom, but not the other way around. If you unwire the cables too, they'll swap over unhindered.

Excellent, I seem to remember only one of the Blackouts had a quick connect on it? Does that seem right?
