Score!

Post by hamo »

Well whaddaya know? I finally whipped the pups out of the Kramer, and it turns out they're an EMG 85 in the bridge and an 89 in the neck! I've been sitting on these pups all along and didn't even know it! 8) Looks like I might have to do the transplant into the Les Paul, might even try the 18v mod. Unless anyone wants to swap for a set of Blackouts...

swap ya for a set of Squier SCs
Hurdy Gurdy.... some how... and I'm not entirely certain how mind you, an instrument that sounds like someone has shoved a nest of angry hornets into a goose with a kazoo bill and is randomly slapping the poor creature with an accordion.... Sounds amazing.

I haven't fully put the Kramer back together yet, but I'm sure they'll sound better for a new (not flat) battery.

I've owned that guitar for 15 years, and I didn't even know what active pups were until I joined the forum.

Muzuki - I think I'll hang onto them unless someone wants to flick me enough to get some Blackouts, which I don't think is realistic.
