Thanks, I'll check 'em out.

I'm now open to offers on the Gibson set.

Going by this tone on the Super Distortion clip at the Dimarzio site, the DP100 is still the frontrunner. It's screaming, sustaining, nasty, but not too much sizzle/nasty harsh.
I like it best of the Dimarzio pups I've heard so far. 2 zebra Dimarzios....mmmmm. 8)

I ripped the clip:

I'm still looking at other brands too and the Gibson set is now for sale/swap/wanted on the auction site (along with half my other stuff).

I believe they're Gibson Dirty Fingers.

For what you described, I'd go with the Aldrichs, but I'd get the Neck/Bridge set.

Hell, I don't want dirty fingers pups, too crazy.
The Suhr Aldrich or the Super Distortion seem to be it atm. Still got to have a closer look at BKB, Duncan etc first.
I don't think the Suhr Aldrich is available in NZ? I bet they are pricey.

Speaking of Doug, I'd like to learn this as an exercise, anyone got the Tab?

EDIT, I see Trueman get the Suhr pups in. Now I just have to sell the Gibson set and my other spare stuff.
