Best person to fix pickups?
Oy veh.
So the guy I've just sold the 496/500T set that came from Aquila's LP, through to Kloppsta (who never used it), and into my desk drawer (I never used it either) has come back saying the bridge pickup is faulty. Apparently he's taken it to the Music Warehouse in Upper Hutt who have told him there is a break somewhere in the windings. I'm going to wait till I see their "report" and test it myself with a multimeter, but it looks like I may have to just give him a refund if they're right.
Anyway, so the question is, basically - who's the best person to send this to get it fixed? I don't really want a half-dead pickup set on my hands. Even sitting in my desk drawer fully functional is fine - I like this set and would probably find some use for it somewhere along the line.
Obviously I don't want to spend too much money on getting it fixed, so the cheaper the better really.
Ash? Mr Glyn? Some other pickup-wizard I've yet to hear of?
Cheers

In Wellington goto Kenny Duncans Guitars in Cuba Mall. He can do pickup windings and other great guitar services

Um, thanks guize.
I'll PM Mr. Glyn and ask for a quote. It's too rainy and shitty in Wellington at the moment for me to bother going into town to find Kenny Duncan.

He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...
