I think I'd still go with the Benderbucker type dealio, but that's just me. I'm not totally satisfied with rail bucker tone compared to wide spaced real buckers, especially in an application where it will be extra close to the bridge. It's only a last 5% thing though. The rail+SC option would be easy and practical with the right choice of units. In this case Duncans would be easier to fit than DiMarzios because of the shape of the base.
Then Benderbucker will ride again!

I keep misreading the title of this thread as "My Marshall does 185".

Which I suppose would be followed by something like "Lost my jug cord, my power tubes fried"

I keep thinking 185 is slow for a Maserati, but then remind myself its probably mph. But then live, he says it does 167,892 or something-rather. So I'm confused... :P

You have to remember that he doesn't really know, cos he lost his license and now he can't drive.

TV cop shows indicate that loss of license is not a huge deterrent to driving.

Ed, If you haven't watched this already, check it out.
Boss OS-2 + DD-3 + bridge pickup .. i'd say maybe the OS-2 volume pushing the amps input, so not so much a hotter single coil.
I love the way he uses delay in the solo here to give the illusion of more gain.. 3.20 in for those who can't watch all the way through... great solo 8)
