I just sold my strat which had Suhr Mike Landau pickups in it and I have the Suhr Doug Aldrich model humbuckers in my flying V. Neither set fits into your telecaster or PAF criteria (The Aldrich set is high gain) but both sets of pickups retained the natural sound of the guitar no matter how much gain you use which is great. Very articulate and dynamic sounding.

Don't know Suhr's but can recommend Lollars. You can take the Korinacaster for a couple of days if you want to try them.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
