Anyone know where I could buy these?

As you guessed I'm trying to find a retailer who sells something... that something is these:

They are the pickup riser rings for fitting TVjones pickups to gretsch guitars.
I realise I can buy them online direct from TVJones, but the shipping is damn near 10x the price of the actual parts!

Any NZ based retailer that would have these?

I have thought about just getting some made here, but I can't imagine that would work out cheaper.

As they are clear, have you thought about packing the existing rings up with a washer at each corner? You wouldn't be able to see them and they would give the same effect of lifting the pups? Darn cheap too

Yeah, I think if I can't get them locally I'll move on to plan 'B' which is going to end up being something along the lines of your suggestion.

even if th eshipping is 10X the cost of the product it is still only $10 you spend more than that in the takeaways . I don't understand the question

Yeah ok... The 10x part was a figure of speech.
The parts all up would be about $6 (Including screws etc)

The shipping is $30 USD.

So it'll end up costing me around $45 NZD for a few bits of plastic and 4 screws.

I know in the scheme of things $45 isn't a lot of money. But, if I can buy the parts locally for $10 and not have to wait 2 weeks for shipping, I'd rather take that option. Economics was never my strong point, but I'm pretty sure $10 works out quite a bit cheaper than $45.

Also... I don't eat takeaways.

getting in car and driving to shop 1 hour even at minimum wage $15 plus $10 fuel = 25 if you can get it delivered for $30 that seems a bargain

You could build your own and depending on the price of your labour it may work out real cheap. Jaycar have small pieces of clear And even colored Arylic for sale, or try your local hobby supplies shop. Careful with that filing my you.

they do look easy to make but then I am good at making stuff

Yes they look very simple to make. But do you know what is even easier? Walking in to a shop and buying them.
If you actually refer back to my question, it is not saying I am unwilling to pay for them, or unable to make them myself. But rather asking if anyone local would have them in stock to sell to me.

Cheaper too, especially by the time you've factored in your own chargeable time. I'm all for making stuff, but plastic spacers wouldn't give me much of a feel good buzz
