So... boutique pickup sniffers, who has used these?

I saw that opsguy has a set in his SG, and was curious so I looked them up on the website: www.sheptone.com

Holy mother of crap, those sound amazing. Potentially thinking of ordering a set if they really do sound that good - does anyone have real experience with them that would like to chime in?

Great tone for sure but, without a before/after type comparison, how much of is down to just the pups? I'm inclined to think that most of the magic you are hearing is that kickass amp he's plugged into :)

No - that slightly hollow almost single coilish tone is definitely not due to the Plexi.

I dunno man, to my ears that demo was just too noisy to really show off the pickups, at least until he moved to single notes.
