Pick up options
Our Banjo player has got some coin together, and I really haven't paid much attention to clip on pick ups etc. Any ideas what would best suit his banjo, he's aware he can't scrimp on quality as that just won't do!
He will be plugin into my PA directly, so I can do away with the sm57, as he tends to move away from it, which doesn't help a consistent sound.
Ideas, prices appreciated thx so I can feed it back
Cheers in advance

Re: Pick up options
lol, you can't have followed the soap opera on here man, not good enough . He was given a life line, due to lots of positive encouragement from other guys who wanted to give him time. So he stepped up his game big time,(after I hit him with a flannel...and it was dry...... ) he has practiced so much that the difference is immediately noticeable... it's worked...

You haven't listened to many banjos, have you.Scooter13 wrote:I suggest leaving it unplugged...that way the banjo won't be heard. /trollololol.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I like banjo in the mix but banjo feed back might be taking it a bit far! Who do you think you are, the Hendrix of Bluegrass?shinenz wrote:..... so I can feed it back
Pleased that the extra practice has lifted the dudes game. Message in there for everyone, if you want to keep the gig, practice, practice, practice.

Indeed, I am glad to admit I was acting rash from frustration, and could have easily fired him...but it panned out thx to the calm natures of my bandmatesWellyBlues wrote:the Hendrix of Bluegrassshinenz wrote:..... so I can feed it back
