SSL-5

Post by Axeman »

Ok so I just dropped a SSL-5 Seymour Duncan into the bridge position of my Strat...sounds ok when in the 5th position on the pickup selector switch.
but the 4th positions sounds really quacky...kinda honky cocked wah tone.
mmm did I wire it wrong? or is it supposed to sound that way.
It has the grease bucket circuit.
Can anyone help?
guessing polarity the wrong way around? or miss matched impedance with the stock fender pick up?

4th position bridge and middle suppose d to be quacky in a strat. If it sounds thin and quacky though, then it's likely out of phase.
