Rocksong? With that name they sound like cheap Asian knock offs being pedaled as something more thasn they are....like GFS pickups do.

Everyone, save your cheap pickup moneys...save a bit more and go BKP, Throbak, OX4, VVG.....thank me later.

I only ask because I am so darn impressed with the tele single coils I got from tonerider.
I have dimarzio PAFs which are awesome, but was just wondering if these tonerider buckers are anywhere near as good as the single coils. If so, I'd try them out just for the comparison.

Oh... but they have GFS written on them!!

Worst PUP's I ever had were BKP's. I wished I'd stuck with the original Epiphone ones.

Retrotron I think...I still have it. And the lipstick tube one.

In fairness, it was a long time back. Maybe they're better now. My actual experience left a lot to be desired. From recollection, little bottom end depth and although "crunchy" as promised the top end wasn't refined.

I just know that I have wasted a lot of time searching for sounds with cheaper kit, when what I shoulda done was saved harder and gone for right stuff having waited only a little longer. Apply that to amps, girls, pedals, guitars.

Crow - never tried BKP but they do seem to polarise people!

The new gfs stuff I've got has been great, there's a few lemons in the line up, but a bit of googling tells you the good from the bad :)

Yes they sure do rave about the BKP's and that's why I paid a small fortune for a set. For some reason they sounded a little lifeless to me. Though I'm not a huge humbucker fan boy so maybe that was it. I have just scored a reputable set of humbuckers, Rio Grande BBQ/ Buffalo, so maybe they will change my mind.

I just put a pair of GFS mean 90's in a guitar and I love them.

I agree there is plenty of cheap rubbish out there and rule of thumb is "ya get what ya pay for".

The ones on his head.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
