Hello all
As you know I have a charvel silver flame with a single emg 85 in it
Now I fancy a tinkle with a new pickup for the guitar its an alder body with a ebony neck with a Floyd
So I'm looking for a passive that will give a good high gain but not too mushy
Any suggestions?
Cheers
Oldie

Had a Charvel Pro Mod and put the EVH Frankenstein in. It rocked...

I have an SD SH-4 spare, which I think is a JB?StratMatt88 wrote:I've always been a fan of the Duncan JB. Worked a treat in my ESP Horizon which was alder/ebony.
Came thrown in with a guitar I bought, replaced by a HB sized P90 by the previous owner, so I've not used it. Think its a 4 wire. Not the longest bit of cable hanging off it - maybe 4 inches. No idea what its worth.

Yep SH-4 is the JB. I took mine out of my ESP before I sold it; gonna chuck it in my PRS and buy a 59 for the neck, great combo.
Loving it so far

I like the JB too but was really impressed with the BK Riff Raff I had in the bridge of a LP recently. Might be worth looking at their website.
